H.E. Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza, Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs, officials from the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), and the Sustainable Energy Unit (SEU) experts visited renewable energy project at the Avenues Complex in Manama. The Avenues Complex will have its new parking area fitted with solar PV systems, which are estimated to produce 250kWt energy.

The honorable delegation was greeted and welcomed by Dr. Maher Al-Shaer, Managing Director of the company, Mr. Salah El Din, Engineering Consultants MSCEB, the project’s implementing consultant, and Mr. Nacad Abdel Salam, General Manager of El Ritaj Company, who demonstrated the progress of the ongoing installation of solar PV systems.

Minister Mirza highlighted the keen interest of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain to ensure that both public and private entities benefit from clean energy. Miniser Mirza also confirmed Bahrain’s commitment to achieve the national goals approved by the Council of Ministers to increase the share of renewable energy in the total energy mix in the country. He thanked and praised the management of the Avenues Complex and the Mohammed Salahuddin Foundation for their outstanding initiative, which contributes to the achievement of national goals. In their turn, the Avenues project managers expressed their gratitude to the Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs and officials for their support and readiness to provide all possible assistance in the implementation and implementation of solar energy solutions in the project.
